Writing a bio for Esquille isn't a task that can be wrapped up in a few quick lines. What truly sets him apart from many other DJs and producers is his enduring ability to deliver dance and pop hits after forty years in the music industry. His passion and commitment to his craft—and to his audience—are stronger than ever, making his unique and contemporary sound beloved on dance floors around the globe.

Esquille began his music journey at an early age when his parents recognized his exceptional talent and enrolled him in the prestigious Adolf Fredrik's Music Classes in Stockholm. There, he received classical training and quickly developed an interest in synth programming. He formed his own synth band during his time at the academy, influenced by 80s funk, American soul, and the disco kings of Italy. His early compositions, a blend of Italo Disco and Soul, showcased his unique approach to music.

At just fifteen, DJ Esquille was already sharing his immense love for dance music throughout Stockholm, quickly rising to celebrity status and performing up to seven days a week in the 90s. In 1990, he released the Italo House record "Such a Good Good Feeling," which significantly boosted his career.

Esquille expresses, "I love EDM! I never imagined electronic dance music would become the dominant force on radio and charts. It’s incredible! When I began, dance music was considered a subculture. I loved and produced House Music in the 90s, but my greatest successes were in Euro disco production. Euro was the EDM of its time."

One key to Esquille's ongoing success is his refusal to limit himself to one musical genre. "I love all kinds of music!" he says with a smile.

His productions have reached the charts in over 25 countries, including a notable presence in various compilation albums and singles. One of his tracks even climbed into the Top 20 of the Japanese album chart, staying there for several weeks.

Esquille recalls, "When the digital boom hit the music industry in the late 90s, I had been running my own label and studio for some time. I began studying sound manipulation techniques and started a digital mastering service that gained immense popularity. Soon, all Swedish Hip-Hop tracks were produced under our roof because artists loved the bass control we provided—something traditional studios often downplayed. The time I spent mastering music gave me invaluable insights into how to create the best mixes, especially for dance music."

He continues, “The music industry has changed dramatically since I entered it in the 80s, both for better and worse. But being part of the digital music age is fantastic! Over the past decade, I’ve scaled back my DJing to focus more on songwriting. At various points in my 40-year career, I’ve taken breaks to reset my focus.”
